The Waka Gram Listing Requirements For Sellers

Costs and Requirements to be Listed on Waka Gram

The project or company will be listed for USD 1000 annually for large projects and USD 550 for medium projects, and 250 for small projects.

The project shall submit compliance documents in line with the verified carbon standards including Verra, Gold Standard, CCB, ACR and SCS, or/and UN CDM.

The project shall submit its project documents that show compliance with the existing laws of its country of registration.

Carbon Offsets

A company seeking to purchase carbon credits to offset its carbon footprint shall be issued with a carbon credits purchase certificate.

The minimum carbon credits that a company can purchase is 1000 dollars.

The service charge for transactions shall be 2 percent of the project capitalization.

How it Works

01. Tree Planting

John, a verified user registered on the Waka Grams portal, plants two trees as an act of carbon reduction.

02. Verification

Waka Africa, the verifying organization, reviews and approves John's tree-planting activity as genuine and accurate.

03. Credit Awarding

Based on a matching algorithm or criteria, John is awarded two Waka Gram credits.

04. Credit Sale

John has the option to sell these credits directly, for example, to Amazon.

05. Cash Out

John can choose to cash out the proceeds, using integrated payment methods such as Mpesa or any other available API.
