Our Story

Waka Grams is a climate Fintech initiative founded under Waka Power labs aimed at advancing climate equality through democratization of climate financing by making climate credits ubiquitous (FINTECH). As a startup company, we developed a technological product dubbed as ‘Waka Grams', an amalgam of Waka, this being the theme of enlightened action towards sustainability, and a gram being the basic unit of measurement.

The Waka Grams is developed as a contribution to equitable climate change financing and empowerment by focusing on diverse climate friendly initiatives that build onto a sustainable future. The concept of climate financial tech approach is at the intersectionality of economic empowerment and climate change: arguably inclusion of the underserved communities and the underrepresented people, women and youth who are often the victims of climate disruption.
